International Expert Meeting on the Human Rights Consequences of the Ramadan War to Be Held

An international expert meeting entitled “Examining the Human Rights Consequences of the Ramadan War: The Role and Position of Civil Society Organizations” will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

The meeting will bring together university professors, researchers, diplomats, and experts in international law and human rights to discuss the human rights dimensions of the Ramadan War, as well as the role of civil society organizations in documentation efforts, victim support, and the pursuit of international accountability.

The program will feature presentations and analyses by distinguished scholars, researchers, and officials from Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as international experts. Speakers include Dr. Mohammad Reza Dehshiri, Dr. Alireza Deyhim, Dr. Jabar Aslani, Professor David Brat, Professor Emily Crawford, Dr. Mahmoud GolshanPazhooh, and Hamid Ahmadi.

The event is jointly organized by the Organization for Defending Victims of Violence (ODVV) and the Family Health Association of Iran (FHA). It aims to provide a platform for dialogue among academics, researchers, and human rights advocates on the humanitarian and legal consequences of the Ramadan War and the potential contributions of civil society organizations in addressing these challenges.
